The first step in developing a system for safeguarding and PSEAH in an organisation is ensuring that you have a policy that regulates the organisation’s contact and conduct with regards to communities that it serves, including children.
Spot On Consulting will assist you to develop such a policy that meets international standards and contextualised to the work that you do and area where you do it. At a minimum, the policy will have definitions of concepts in line with international standards; be explicit on its prohibition of SEAH or other safeguarding violations; and will be clear on all staff obligations for reporting violations and how action is taken in the organisation.
Such a policy will be accompanied by procedures on how it will be implemented in practice. For those that already have such policies and procedures, we also offer you services in reviewing your safeguarding and PSEAH system, assessing its strengths and weaknesses and giving you recommendations on how you can improve it for better and stronger protection and accountability in your work.
